Therapy
Therapy services
We are fortunate to have combinations of our central therapy team, commissioned therapists and NHS professionals working across our schools and settings. This means we can strive to provide the right support, in the right school, at the right time and in the right way for every child.
Therapy input and advice both underpins and complements our curriculum, enabling pupils to access their education and take part in all aspects of school life.
We believe that by developing a close relationship between teachers, therapists and parents and carers, we can maximise the potential of every pupil.
Types of therapy
- Speech and Language Therapy - enabling pupils to reach their own individual communication potential. Developing person-centred, functional life skills and meaningful interactions with others.
- Arts Therapy (including Drama and Music Therapy) - supporting pupils' social, emotional and mental health needs. Developing self-esteem and awareness, communication and interaction with others, and expressing and managing emotions.
- Occupational Therapy – helping pupils to achieve as much independence as possible within their activities of daily living.
- Physiotherapy – hlping pupils to manage their physical symptoms and achieve their highest level of functional ability.

Our therapists
All our therapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a national regulator that holds a register of health and care professionals who meet their Standards of Proficiency and who are bound by their Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Please visit the HCPC website for further information:Â
Most of our therapists are also members of their relevant Professional Association and many are active members of their Association’s Special Interest Groups, which means that the therapists keep up to date with the latest research and developments.
Therapists also offer a wide range of workshops, courses and meetings for parents and families.
