Therapies and health support

Therapists will work with parents to transfer skills and give you information about activities we’re doing in schools that might benefit you at home.

Our in-house therapists provide support in the classroom and in dedicated sessions with individuals. These include:

  • speech and language therapists,
  • physiotherapists,
  • occupational therapist,
  • habilitation specialist (mobility and orientation training),
  • music therapist,
  • rebound therapist,
  • an on-site paediatric community nurse.

We use a wide range of sensory resources and environments to create a stimulating learning experience for our pupils. These include:

  • a wide range of new Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) technology including Eyegaze™
  • sensory garden and adapted playground with interactive fountain
  • hydrotherapy pool
  • softplay room
  • sensory theatre
  • library including tactile books
  • indoor and outdoor trampoline
  • dark areas in every classroom for vision stimulation
  • small light rooms in each classroom
